If you've seen Decimate live in the past few years
you'll know that they're the kind of band that have strangers falling
in love on the spot, one of those perennially great support bands frequently
stranded too low on the bill to be remembered even though they absolutely
fucking shred every stage they ever hit. No excuses for amnesia now as
this debut LP drops, and what instantly emerges through the stunning intro
and "My Time" is that the live firestorm is no fluke- this is
11 bodyshots of adrenaline segued by enough moments of musical derailment
(weird passages of NWOBHM atmospherics and Scandinavian goth melodrama)
to always keep the full-on assault enjoyable. None more metal but instantaneously
catchy enough to get as close to crossover as Copro are ever gonna get. |
